Tony Blinson began his career in the HVAC industry in 1973 fresh out of high school. He thought it would just be a summer job, but boy was he wrong. He started as a sheet metal apprentice with The Grady Company, one of the oldest heating and air conditioning companies in Raleigh. In just a short time Tony realized he had found a skilled trade that allowed him to use his mechanical abilities. Tony worked his way through the ranks from apprentice, to installer, to foreman, to service technician, to designer, and finally as general manager.
After attending Wake Technical College at night, he sat for the North Carolina State Mechanical Contractors exam and received his business license in 1982. In 1989 Tony decided it was the right time to start his own business. So began Blinson Service Company, Inc.
Tony still remembers being driven through the old subdivisions by his (then fiancée) Jeanna. He walked from house to house introducing himself and newly formed company. It was amazing to see how many people gave him the opportunity to prove himself. For three years Tony worked day and night as a one man operation to build a customer base. At that point it was time to start adding employees as the customer base was rapidly increasing into the hundreds. Blinson Service Company, Inc continued to grow year after year and in 2002 Tony decided to expand the business which would include a full office staff, and departments to handle all the needs of our customers in a timely manner.
Tony brought his wife Jeanna into the business because of her accounting expertise. She is a CPA and was just what was needed to put the team together. Her background in business and finance was the key to moving the company to the next level.
In 2005 Blinson Service Company, Inc. moved into their new state of the art office and warehouse facility in Raleigh including a large conference and training room, private offices, reception area, and fully stocked warehouse. They now have a complete office staff including customer service specialist, service dispatcher, accounting office/controller, warehouse manager, installation manager, service manager, and replacement specialist.
Since moving into the new facility, Blinson Service Company, Inc. has been the recipient of several HVAC top performance awards. Since 1989 Tony has committed to 100% customer satisfaction. As we move forward we will continue to explore ways to improve our service to our customers.
